The first of many....

This is the first of many posts...
I thought it would be fun to share a thought on a scripture, and basically let you in on some of the silliness that goes on around here on a daily basis.

For instance, this morning, I told my son to go up and get dressed and ready for school -which we do at the dining table mostly. He came down the stairs looking quite like an overstuffed bear!!!!...or in his mind, a superhero!!!
In an effort to appear more muscular  (you know how important that is) over the top of his footie pajamas, he put on a bulky tyrannosaurus rex costume, a pair of jeans -yes, he tucked in the tail!!!-  and a couple of sweatshirts. Well, this was all fine and dandy until, in the middle of his math word problem, he said, " Mom, I need to go to the bathroom..." . Then, there was a mad dash to remove all the extraneous layers of clothing and, rather than run upstairs to the actual bathroom, he headed for the back door!
He is his father's son!!!!

The scripture that comes to mind is,
"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable— if anything is excellent or praiseworthy— think about such things."

In other words, FORGET the story i just told you and think about something GOOD....


Tonight, John's away at school so we are having homemade chicken soup and dumplings (because John detests dumplings!!!!) and then we are going to make some sugar cookies... because life needs more butter and sugar... I'll post pictures of the finished product tomorrow!!!
